Emily Nevins

Emily brings over 20 years of senior-level experience in the not-for-profit sector, handling a wide range of organisational and programmatic responsibilities.

Most recently, as Global Programme Director at Amnesty International, Emily led large multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex global human rights campaigns. She also oversaw a suite of global functions during her tenure, including digital campaigns, youth participation, human rights education, activism and campaign training, grant-making, casework and arts & strategic partnerships.

Her teams opened new funding and impact opportunities while developing global programmes and embedding standards with a diverse stakeholder network across 70+ countries. She took on large-scale organisational transformation and development programmes and recruited into senior positions globally.

She received an MA Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster and a BA Music from DePaul University.

Career Highlight
Emily has also worked on climate change and environment with Friends of the Earth and explored the lived experiences of diverse London communities through an oral history programme delivered through a local non-profit.

Interesting Fact
Emily’s BA in Music included studying classical flute with the principal of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
