Devon Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of high-quality specialist mental health, learning disability, and neurodiversity services for the people of Devon, the wider South West region, and nationally. Rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission, we have a turnover of over £400m and our incredible workforce of 4,484 staff supports over 26,000 people every month. Our staff are pivotal to everything we do, and we are proud to be a Trust which is led by our clinicians, with meaningful involvement from the people who use our services. We were delighted to be ranked first among mental health providers across the country in the latest NHS Staff Survey for providing flexible working opportunities.

We are passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing, and we aspire to provide the very best care to those we serve, and the very best working environment for those we employ. Whilst we have achieved so much already, there is still more to do across the organisation as we strive to achieve our mission of becoming a recognised centre of excellence and expertise in mental health, learning disability, and neurodiversity. We work closely with our partners across Devon ICS, dedicated to our shared goal of providing high-quality, safe services, and better care and support for people in our local communities.

We are now looking for an exceptional leader to join us as our new Executive Director of Nursing and Professions. As a key member of our established Executive Team, you will play a vital role in providing strategic leadership within the Trust, and be responsible for the professional leadership of our Nursing and Allied Health Professionals workforce, living our values to ensure that care is delivered with compassion, embodies quality, and fulfils our purpose of delivering safe, effective, and personal care to people that use our services.

As an experienced senior nursing leader, you will have a passion for our work and a track record of achievement in influencing colleagues and partners to deliver high-quality and safe care in a mental health setting. Inspirational and values driven, you will inspire confidence through your knowledge and expertise and ensure that our Board of Directors keeps quality of care with compassion at the heart of all decision making. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape and deliver the future of our services as we continue to expand on our excellent local and national performance.

Devon Partnership seeks colleagues as diverse as the population we serve; we are committed to diversity and inclusion, and welcome applications from the widest possible range of backgrounds, particularly those who are under-represented at Board level in the NHS.

If you can see yourself reflected in our values and ambitions, we would love to hear from you.
