We need someone to work alongside the Chief Executive, Elected Members and the Senior Leadership Team in setting the overall strategic direction of the organisation, providing commercial leadership and guidance regarding allocation of resources, service delivery, risk management, change management and transformation.

There are also wider transformational aspect to the role as we become more commercial, agile and flexible in our approach and modernise some aspects of corporate services so that they enable our place-shaping ambitions. As our new Director of Resources, you will be at the heart of this agenda driving this work. 

For this newly created role we are looking for someone who is forward thinking, innovative and politically astute, ensuring the sustainable success of the organisation, instilling innovation, commerciality and collaboration to develop our financial, commercial and corporate capabilities. As the S.151 Officer, you will develop and implement a new financial strategy and culture for the organisation, so will also need considerable senior finance experience in a local government setting and be a fully qualified member of CCAB or equivalent, preferably CIPFA.
