Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QVH) is renowned for its pioneering clinical services, patient-centred care, and as a centre of excellence for specialist treatments. We play a crucial role as an anchor institution in East Grinstead, providing care to local communities and regional populations. As a Trust, we are focused on long-term financial sustainability while continuing to innovate and collaborate across the wider NHS landscape.

QVH delivers a wide range of acute and specialist services. We are at an exciting point in our strategic journey, with a clear focus on strengthening our clinical research, building regional partnerships, and enhancing our position as a leading provider of specialist care. This is an outstanding opportunity to join at a pivotal moment as we develop our future strategy while continuing to deliver high-quality care.

Our new Chief Finance Officer will be a key member of the executive team, providing strategic financial leadership to support the Trust’s sustainability and growth. You will lead the finance and procurement functions as well as the estates and facilities functions, ensuring strong financial governance and performance while working closely with our clinically led triumvirate leadership teams and directorates to embed a financially sustainable model. This role also involves fostering relationships with external stakeholders, including commissioners and regulatory bodies, to align financial strategies with clinical priorities.

We are seeking a compassionate, innovative finance leader with significant experience in healthcare finance at or near board level. The successful candidate will be adept at building strong internal and external partnerships and will bring a commercial mindset alongside the ability to develop robust financial systems. Your leadership will drive high performance across the finance team, ensuring the Trust is well-positioned to thrive in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.

If you are an experienced finance professional, passionate about making a difference in healthcare, and share our vision and values, we would love to hear from you.
