Are you ready to drive transformative growth and shape the future of one of West Sussex’s most historic cities? Chichester District Council is seeking an innovative and committed Regeneration & Growth Manager to lead our ambitious regeneration initiatives. Located in the heart of Chichester, we are a council that values sustainability, community enrichment, and economic resilience. With a clear vision for a connected, diverse, and economically prosperous city, we are looking for the right leader to bring our regeneration strategy to life.

Our vision for Chichester’s future is rooted in key regeneration initiatives, focusing on sustainable urban development and community-focused growth. The Chichester City Regeneration Strategy outlines our plans to revitalise core areas through new built development, and enhanced public areas, setting high standards for quality, sustainability, and connectivity. As the Regeneration & Growth Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing this strategy, engaging with strategic partners and stakeholders to ensure impactful, lasting transformation across the city.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager – Property & Growth, you will oversee the Council’s regeneration projects, from research and planning to execution. Your role will involve liaising with business leaders, government bodies, and key stakeholders, providing expert direction, and developing collaborative relationships that support Chichester’s strategic regeneration priorities. You will be the driving force behind the delivery of our regeneration strategy, helping to create a city that is greener, safer, and more inclusive.

About You

We are looking for a strategic and dynamic individual with significant experience in urban regeneration, project management, or a related field, ideally within a local government setting. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in leading regeneration projects, building high-performance cultures, and managing stakeholder relationships. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire, negotiate, and advocate for Chichester’s future. Experience in policy development, budget management, and navigating complex political landscapes is also highly valued. A background in strategic planning and performance management, with a commitment to sustainable urban growth, is key for this role.

Chichester District Council is entering an exciting period of growth, prioritising sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the community by leading Chichester’s regeneration journey. You’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team dedicated to an environment of openness, empowerment, and professional development.

Whether you are an experienced regeneration professional or looking to advance into a leadership role, this position offers the chance to shape Chichester’s future and contribute to meaningful, positive change. If you’re ready to be part of this transformation, we want to hear from you.
