North Cumbria Primary Care Alliance is a leading provider of primary care services in North Cumbria, dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare and improving the health of our community. Our organisation values patient-centred approaches, operational excellence, and a commitment to innovation in healthcare delivery. Our six practices span rural and urban communities from Carlisle to Bootle, operating over sixteen sites and serving over 100,000 patients; one third of the population of North Cumbria. We employ more than 400 staff.

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director who will lead our organisation and act as a Director on our board to help shape and lead the future of our organisation. You will have a strategic mind set with the ability to articulate a clear vision for business development, advancing patient care, quality improvement and growing our organisation. You will be comfortable with providing constructive challenge and making effective if sometimes difficult decisions.

At NCPC we strive to put our people first and you will help us to develop a strong positive culture. You will also oversee the organisation’s day-to-day operations and spearhead strategic initiatives to optimise service delivery and patient care. With an empowering and visionary leadership approach you will celebrate NCPCs successes, embrace our different operating model and appreciate and acknowledge our associated sharing learning whilst moving us forward with our vision.

The role requires a person who can bring together strategic focus whilst understanding the operational challenges faced by our practices. There is a need to grasp the opportunities that digital technologies offer so that NCPC can harness this to work more efficiently to deliver better care for our patients.

NCPC is committed to embracing diversity, equality and inclusion and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, belief, disability, or socio-economic background.
