At Watford Community Housing we own and manage over 7,500 homes and associated assets across South-West Hertfordshire and North-West London, with a focus on providing much-needed homes for lower-income households.  We are very clear about our purpose, and as a Community Gateway organisation, we’re committed to putting our tenants at the heart of everything we do. As well as working closely with residents to make sure we’re delivering excellent services, we encourage our tenants to become members so they can vote and make decisions which help to shape what we do.

We’ve come a long way since our formation in 2007, recently achieving a C1 grading from the regulator, but we want to achieve even more.  Working closely with our local authority and developer partners we want to deliver our ambitious development aspirations for our communities.  It is an exciting time to be joining us as we are finalising our next corporate strategy and thinking about how we shape our future.

We are looking for a Chief Finance Officer who will be instrumental in bringing our vision and growth strategy to life and who understands what it means to work in a Community Gateway organisation. Leading the finance, treasury and IT teams and in partnership with the Executive Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that within our high-performing culture, everyone feels empowered, engaged and motivated.

As well as being an inspirational leader with an outstanding financial management track record, you’ll bring the strategic perspectives required to add value across the business and at Group Board as a key member of an ambitious Executive Management Team. You’ll have progressed your career in a people-centric organisation, and bring an energetic, collaborative style which embraces partnerships and joint ventures. Either an aspirant or established Executive Director, your insight into treasury management, financial planning and good governance will be highly valued.
