Our client, a public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Business Advisor to lead and support strategic procurement projects. This role involves working on high-impact initiatives, including legal services frameworks and long-term estate planning, while helping to shape the procurement best practices within the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead on procurement related strategic projects, such as establishing legal services frameworks and long-term estate planning
  • Develop structures processes for engaging legal, surveyor and valuation services, ensuring compliance and governance
  • Drive effective category management, ensuring contracts are proactively managed
  • Engage with contract owners and suppliers to ensure procurement compliance, efficiency, and value for money
  • Guide internal stakeholders on procurement best practices, proactively offering solutions and navigating challenges
  • Help formalise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and develop a suite of procurement documents
  • Strengthen engagement between procurement and wider business functions, ensuring alignment on procurement best practices

About you:

  • Proven experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of governance, compliance and category management
  • Experience leading complex procurement projects, including legal services
  • Experience of working with big tenders
  • Ability to deal with difficult stakeholders
  • Ability to drive efficiency, implement structured processes, and work collaboratively to improve procurement functions
  • Leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to support junior team members to provide guidance in the absence of senior leadership
