Congratulations to our team of colleagues who recently climbed and conquered Snowdon in aid of our charity of the year, YoungMinds.
The team reached the summit in just over 4 hours. The weather remained friendly up until they reached the summit, where the cloud didn’t quite allow the sun to come through.
Thank you to Jennifer Nee who coordinated the event.
“I’m so proud of our team and what we managed to achieve. Whilst admittedly I was nervous beforehand about all the logistics (accommodation, meeting points, navigating etc.), the day itself made it so worthwhile in the end. I’m so grateful to everyone who attended and how positive everyone was in tackling the climb. It was also lovely having family members join us as well (I still can’t believe how speedy some of the kids were at scrambling up The Miner’s Track)!!
It’s great the flexibility GS provides to make days like these possible, as we were all able to take a CSR day to partake in the challenge. Additionally, due to the agile working scheme I was also able to take an early finish the day before to allow more time to get to Wales which was a bit of a trek!
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported us in taking part in the challenge. We’re extremely grateful!”

Thank you to all those who donated or supported us in any way. Though the experience was a tough one, it is also memorable one; an achievement to be immensely proud of and raising vital funds for our Charity of the Year.
“Euan (age 9) and I were really proud to be part of the team. Surprisingly the ‘upward’ challenge was easier than the gruelling 3 hour decent but the ice cream at the bottom tasted all the better for it! One black but hopefully not broken toe for me, and a few aching limbs remain but the money raised made it all worthwhile! The train was a tempting and rather teasing thought for the way down, but the money raised made that a more distant thought as we all wanted to finish the challenge in style. Thank you to everyone who donated and sent supporting messages, they meant so much!”
