Our regulation practice specialises in identifying and appointing Chairs, Board, Council Committee and Panel members, Chief Executives and Directors for a wide range of organisations in the healthcare, professional, economic, industry and government regulation sectors. We have substantial expertise in handling complex, politically sensitive appointments in high profile regulators, where stakeholder engagement and close partnership working is critical. We can also offer a bespoke and specialist service, handling the process for multiple Panel / Committee appointments, where managing volume, maintaining quality and robustness in process is critical.

Our dedicated, growing team is led by a former solicitor and offers deep experience and knowledge of the current challenges and issues in the regulation sector, pertinent in the current climate. Along with this understanding, we have the specialist headhunting skills required to attract and identify the right people for the job.

The Practice is led by Katrina Paget who has 20 years' experience in the senior search and selection industry. Katrina is a former solicitor and former Deloitte consultant, with over 22 years experience in executive search. She is a member of GatenbySanderson’s Board practice and is an expert in handling high volume, multiple board, committee and panel appointment campaigns.

Katrina’s clients include healthcare regulators, such as the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council, the General Pharmaceutical Council, the General Chiropractic Council, Monitor, the Health and Care Professions Council and the Care Quality Commission. She has worked with the Law Society, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board, ILEX Professional Standards, the Legal Services Board and the Architects Registration Board and assisted in the set up of two new regulators - the Press Recognition Panel and the Senet Group. Katrina has worked with Ofwat, Claims Management Regulation, the Financial Ombudsman and the Legal Ombudsman. 

Katrina is one of the team managing GatenbySanderson’s sole supplier contract with the Ministry of Justice and has worked closely with the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, handling multiple appointments campaigns for a number of Agencies and Arms length bodies. 

Additionally, Katrina leads GatenbySanderson’s work with faith organisations, including the Church of England, the Methodist Church and the Council of Lutheran Churches.
