David Ward

Prior to joining us David worked as a Selection and Assessment Manager in several education charities, with responsibility for scheduling, designing, delivering, and evaluating fair, valid and reliable assessments and development centres for graduate recruitment and other high-volume programmes. They have experience designing and delivering programme improvements and new assessments at short notice, as well as delivering impactful and useful training.

They work cross-sector within the Leadership & Talent Consultancy. Working in close partnership with their fellow Leadership & Talent Assessment consultants, David delivers world-class and innovative assessment and development initiatives, including bespoke assessments and inclusive interviewer training. They are also the co-chair of GatenbySanderson’s LGBTQ+ Affinity Group and spearhead initiatives as part of this group.

David holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and an MSc in Organisational Psychology. They are a Graduate Member of the BPS and are qualified in a number of psychometric tests.

Interesting Fact
David has taken part in an ostrich race, with a rambunctious albino ostrich as their steed. Alas, taking a silver medal marked their swift retirement from ostrich racing.

Career Highlight
David’s career highlights are when they have been able to marry their passions for organisation psychology and inclusivity to make the workplace an environment where everyone can thrive. Since gaining a place on the Stonewall Young Leaders programme at the beginning of their career, they have continued to put this passion into action, whether this is volunteering with charities, setting up or leading affinity groups in the workplace, taking on the role of Disability Champion at a previous organisation, or conducting research on authentic leadership in teachers.
