Emily Smith

Emily graduated in 2001 as a Biomedical Scientist and enjoyed a career in Forensic Science before taking time out to raise her family. On returning to work Emily worked as a Business Support Resourcer and tender lead before joining Seymour John in September 2019. Whilst at Seymour John Emily supported all aspects of the recruitment process, predominantly finance roles, as the Research & Resourcing Consultant for the public services team in the North.

Joining us as a Delivery Consultant within the health team, Emily works across an array of executive and non-executive roles in the health sector. Her role is about building and managing relationships, providing the best possible experience for candidates and clients, whilst supporting the partners and senior consultants. Communication is key, making sure everyone understands the process and the timescales involved.

Interesting Fact
Outside of work, she likes to spend time in the great outdoors and learnt to ski this year. Emily enjoys running long distance, though not at a fast pace, and has completed an ultra-marathon.
