Liz Dean

Principal Consultant

Not for Profit

Liz has had the privilege of working at the heart of the Not-for-Profit sector since 2001, when she joined Mencap as a support worker, working alongside adults who needed a little extra support to live fulfilling lives. Liz had already decided that she wanted to spend her time working for social good, but this role cemented her values and purpose.

From there, Liz spent 20 years working in health and education-based organisations at Director level, leading income generation, evaluation and grant giving, helping to raise millions of pounds of income and enabling great organisations to deliver impact.

In 2020, Liz made the leap to consultancy where she now works side by side with charities, supporting them find the best leaders to help them to achieve even more for their communities. Liz focuses mainly on health and social care and is really proud of what the team has achieved working in partnership with charities and social impact organisations in the UK.

Liz leads on all executive and non-executive appointments and is always happy to have a chat about our brilliant and vibrant sector – what is going on, what we think is coming down the line, how we can all do more with collaboration and partnership and everything else that really matters. Liz absolutely loves her job and takes seriously the role that we can all play in continuing to build the most important sector in society today.

Liz is always up to something and is fascinated by almost everything, from pop culture to engineering and understanding how things work, finding new adventures on her Peleton and most recently data and AI and the opportunities that brings in our work and everyday life.
